Mei Meng, Chairman of Tuspark Co., Ltd. and Chen Hongbo, vice president of Tuspark Co., Ltd. participated in the Joint meetings including Asia annual meeting of International Association of Science Park (IASP), Tenth Annual Meeting of Asia Science Park Association (ASPA) and the Third Session of Iran National Science Park Conference, the meetings were held in Isaphahen city in central Iran on September 18, 2006. Former Malaysian premier Mahathir and his wife, about 500 delegates from the science parks and enterprises in more than 30 countries and regions were present in the opening ceremony. During the meetings, chairman Mei Meng met Ms. Chachanat Thebtaranonth (Thailand), Chairman of world science park, Mr. Luis Sanz (Spain), General Director of world science park association, Mr. Jong Hyun Lee (Republic of Korea), chairman of Asia Science Park Association and Mr. Mehdi Keshmiri (Iran), Chairman of West Asia branch of world science park association. Mr. Mei conveyed the greeting of president Xu Jinghong. He expressed his willingness to hold the 2008 Asia Meeting of IASP/ASPA. Leaders of the world science parks all said that they would take consideration of the whole-hearted invitation of Tsinghua science park. As the chairman of Asia-Pacific Branch of world science park association, Vice president Chen Hongbo participated in the opening ceremony. He presided the group discussion in the afternoon and was invited to visit Isaphahen science park (ISTT). It exchanged experience and opinions with Iran science parks such as YAZD, ISTT and KERMAN as to how to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation among science parks in east Asia and west Asia. During the meetings, vice president Chen Hongbo also participated in the top level meeting presided by Mr. Luis Sanz and participated by Ms. Chachanat Thebtaranonth, Mr. Jong Hyun Lee, Mr. Mehdi Keshmiri, they made in-depth exchange and discussion, achieved mutual consensus on issues such as the communication and cooperation between international association of science park (IASP) and Asia science park association (ASPA), the holding place and ways of the annual meeting in next two years.
