The 2007 annual council meeting of International Association of Science Park (IASP) was held in IASP headquarter in Malaga in south Spain from 21 to 23 February. 14 persons attended the meeting, including the president, vice- president, financial directors and general director of IASP, chairmen of the local science parks in Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, North America and West Asia, as well as directors from Australia, Finland, Switzerland, France, Spain and Estonia.

As the chairman and director of Asia-Pacific area, Chen Hongbo, vice president of Tuspark Co., Ltd. participated in the meeting, reported the 2006 work of science park in Asia-Pacific area, and brought out his suggestion and opinion on issues such as the staff deployment, improvement on system and charging method of subscription fee, improvement of IASP brand and logo system, cooperation mode with Asia science park association (ASPA), his opinion was echoed by other participants.

The council meeting was presided by IASP chairman, issues such as the financial budget, headquarter staff deployment and salary system, lists of members enrolled and quitted, preparation progress of world science park in the next three years and the location selection were discussed, the report of regional work by the chairmen of all areas were also presented. The meeting mainly discussed the overall strategic target of IASP in next few years, i.e. how to build world-grade science park, as well as the steps necessary for achieving this goal.
