On the morning of April 28, the annual conference of TEEC 2007 and the forum on traditional Chinese culture, macro economic environment & hi-tech start-up were held in the multi-purpose hall, international conference center, Tsinghua Science Park.

The annual meeting was sponsored by TEEC, Tsinghua Alumni Association, Tsinghua Science Park Development Center, etc. and assisted by Tsinghua Science Park, etc. Yang Lei, vice-chairman of TEEC presided the meeting. Wei Shaojun and Deng Feng, co-chairmen of TEEC 2006, delivered opening and closing speeches respectively. The entrepreneur forum was presided by Song Jun, Board Chairman of Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd., and attended by such distinguished guests as Wu Ping, CEO of Spreadtrum Communications Inc., Li Feng, Board chairman of Yipin Media Co., Ltd., Chen Shuning, CEO of Worksoft Creative Software Technology Ltd., Song Ke, director and general manager of Taihe Cornfield Music Culture Development Co., Ltd. and other Tsinghua Alumni. At the meeting, Hu Angang, professor of Tsinghua University, and Yu Dan, famous cultural scholar delivered the theme speech, and attended by a total of 300-plus distinguished guests from all social circles.

Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club, TEEC for short, was sponsored by a batch of Tsinghua Alumni starting business in the Silicon Valley, U.S. and officially founded in April, 2005. It is Tsinghua Alumni-orientated, advocates the technical innovation and pioneering in hi-tech field. At present, it consists of nearly one hundred members from fields related to hi-tech such as semi-conductor, communication, software, internet, venture capital investment, financial service, and law. It is a typical representative of a new generation of hi-tech entrepreneurs of Tsinghua with its scale from startups to listed companies in Nasdaq. With 2007 theme of “the Entrepreneur Influence of Chinese culture and macro economic environment on hi-tech start-up”, the annual meeting of TEEC aims at urging the members of TEEC and pioneers of Tsinghua to develop into successful entrepreneurs from pioneers through discussing about the enterprise culture and macro factors.
